Unlike a library there is a quiet buzz as people share their favourite books and authors and then the comfortable hush as the background music takes over and the reading is in full flow.  You can almost hear the imaginary worlds coming to life in readers’ heads.

As people leave they do so with a sense of calm.  Their tense shoulders have dropped, the frowns have gone.  They have been able to relax and truly enjoy their favourite pastime and in many cases they have made friends of other readers as well as between the pages.  They are happy and relaxed and know that next time they need their reading fix there will be somewhere suitable available to them.  It maybe here or maybe at a new venue that they have yet to discover.
